This collection represents an interesting take on our love for Scandinavian inspirations. Shades of gritty ochre make way for deep browns, and eventually, ‘absolute black.’ We feel this must be the work of Nótt, the Night Goddess of ancient Nordic mythology. She’s come gliding in at twilight, to lift the curtains separating dawn from dusk. It’s an intense drama now, a power struggle between memories that won’t sleep and dreams that won’t wake up. At Nótt’s command, the deep, dark abyss stops behaving like a trickster. It becomes an impartial critic, but also a loving companion, so we can understand the difference between illusions and reality.
